報告人：Dr. Ramanjulu Sunka

Dr. Ramanjulu Sunkar received his M.Sc., and Ph.D. in Botany from Sri Krishnadevaraya University, Anantapur, India. He pursued his post-doctoral research under the supervision of Dr. Hillel Fromm (Weizmann Institute of Science, Israel), Dr. Dorothea Bartels (University of Bonn, Germany), and Dr. Jian-Kang Zhu (University of California, Riverside, USA). He was a recipient of DAAD fellowship, Alexander Von Humboldt postdoctoral fellowship, Feinberg Postdoctoral fellowship and Sir Charles Clore Postdoctoral fellowship. His landmark publications include identification of microRNAs and their involvement in plant stress responses. He is included in the recently released list of Thomson Reuters Highly Cited Researchers 2014.

Currently, Dr. Sunkaris an Associate Professor at the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Oklahoma State University. Stillwater, USA. He has received funding from the USDA, NSF, OCAST (Oklahoma Centre for the Advancement of Science and Technology), Oklahoma Tobacco Research Centre (OTRC), and Oklahoma Agricultural Experiment Station (OAES). He published about 80 peer-reviewed publications and is an associate/handling editor of Journal of Experimental Botany, BMC Plant Biology, BMC Genomics, and Frontiers in Plant Genomics.
