Ray Ming博士是University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign的植物生物系教授，Tropical Plant Biology雜志的共同主編，Genome Insights和Journal of Systematics and Evolution雜交的編委，在番木瓜基因組測序和性染色體起源、進化等研究領域造詣深厚，近年來在Nature、Genome Research、PNAS、Plant Cell、Plant J、Plant Physiology等刊物上發表論文30余篇。
