Scott Brian Franklin, 男, 美國北科羅拉多大學（University of Northern Colorado）教授, 植被生態學專家, the American Midland Naturalist副主編, 美國生態學會植被分類組主席(Chair, Ecological Society of America Panel on Vegetation Classification), 中科院武漢植物園國際訪問學者，主要研究干擾與植被動態之間的關系。在生態學領域主流期刊包括Journal of Applied Ecology, Global Ecology & Biogeography, Journal of Vegetation Science, Biological Conservation, Forest Ecology & Management等刊物上發表論文50余篇。
